Florent Samain is a highly experienced research scientist with a strong background in drug discovery and chemistry, currently serving as Principal Research Scientist II at AbbVie since January 2022, leading DNA-encoded library screening efforts. Prior to this role, Florent held multiple positions at Philochem AG from October 2012 to August 2021, including Project Manager Team Leader for Drug Discovery projects, where responsibilities included project management, external stakeholder coordination, budget oversight, and problem-solving. Earlier career experiences include roles as Research Associate Scientist at the Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission, Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Zürich, Postdoctoral Associate at Stanford University, and Research Associate at Polyphor Ltd. Florent earned a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Bern and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Chemistry at Stanford University.
