Amanda Nieman

Senior Research Scientist 1 at Promega

Amanda Nieman, PhD, currently serves as a Senior Research Scientist 1 at Promega Corporation since January 2020, focusing on the development of protein-protein interaction assays using NanoBRET™ and NanoBiT® technologies within the Tailored R&D Solutions team. Prior to this role, Amanda held a Research Scientist 4 position at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, where participation in scientific studies under Dr. Alexander Arnold occurred from August 2014 to December 2019, alongside earlier experience as a Graduate Assistant. Proficient in maintaining various cell cultures and performing in vitro and in vivo assays, Amanda also demonstrates strong communication and mentoring skills, having coordinated learning outcomes and mentored new scientists. Educationally, Amanda earned a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a B.S. in BioMolecular Engineering from Milwaukee School of Engineering. Previous internship roles include engineering assistance at Johnson Level & Tool and summer research participation at Marquette University.
