Michael Proops is a seasoned financial professional with extensive experience in management and tax preparation. Since 2013, Michael has been active as a volunteer while previously serving as an Income Tax Preparer for the AARP Foundation since 2012. Michael's prior roles include Director of Financial Management at the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals from 2001 to 2012 and Controller at the West Virginia Attorney General's Office from 1988 to 2001. Michael holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Charleston and dual Bachelor's degrees in Accounting and Finance, as well as Sociology and Anthropology, from West Virginia University.
