Amy Javaid has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple industries and roles. Amy started their career as a Program Assistant at The Women's Foreign Policy Group in 1997. From there, they worked as a Manager at Deloitte Emerging Markets, the donor consulting division of Deloitte, from 1999 to 2003. Amy then joined the Academy for Educational Development in 2003 as a Senior Technical Advisor, specializing in business development for the Center on AIDS and Community Health. In 2005, they became an International Team Leader for the same organization, and in 2006, they served as a Project Director for the New Partners Initiative. In 2017, Amy joined A Wider Circle as the Workforce Development Coordinator and later took on roles such as Interim Director of Workforce Development, Vice President of Programs, Senior Vice President, Interim President, and finally, the President and CEO of the organization in July 2021.
Amy Javaid holds a Master of Arts degree in International Relations and Affairs, which they obtained from The George Washington University from 1995 to 1997. Prior to this, they completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and Sociology at Franklin and Marshall College, where they studied from 1990 to 1994. Amy also graduated with a High School Diploma from Newton Country Day School of the Sacred Heart in 1990. The specific field of study for their high school education is not provided.
