Paul Bemis has extensive work experience in the software engineering field. Paul is currently working as the Director of Engineering at Zywave since 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Centare from 2019 to 2021, where they held the role of Senior Software Engineer and Engineering Lead. At Centare, they were responsible for managing developers and engineering managers, defining technical approaches for clients, and leading software development projects. Before that, Paul worked at Zywave from 2012 to 2019 as a Senior Software Engineer and Team Lead, leading a scrum team and becoming a subject matter expert in email and third-party integrations. Paul also has experience at WTS Paradigm as a SWAT Developer from 2010 to 2012, at Epic as a Software Developer from 2009 to 2010, and at Rockwell Automation as a Student Intern in 2008.

Paul Bemis completed their education with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2009. Paul also attended Cornell University in 2020-2021, where they obtained a Certificate in Business Management Essentials. Prior to their university education, Paul graduated from Greendale High School in 2005. Additionally, they hold certifications including the Professional Agile Leadershipâ„¢ I (PAL I) from Scrum.org (obtained in 2022), Professional Scrum Developer I (obtained in 2019), and Professional Scrum Master I (obtained in 2016).
