Johann Gigl's work experience includes various roles in different companies. Johann started their career at Deutsche Bank in 2005. Johann then worked at Deloitte in their Transaction Advisory Services department in 2006. In 2009, Gigl joined Credit Suisse as an Investment Banking Analyst and later became an Investment Banking Associate. From 2013 to 2017, they served as the Vice President of International Business Development and M&A at Flughafen Zürich AG, focusing on airport transactions in Latin America and India. In 2018, Gigl joined Zurich Airport Latin America as the Director of Finance and Business Development, responsible for airport activities in the region. In 2020, they became the CFO of Zurich Airport Brasil. Their responsibilities have included overseeing operational and financial performance, implementing group strategies, and leading airport M&A processes.
Johann Gigl obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Business Administration from the University of St.Gallen in 2004-2006. Johann then pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Banking & Finance from the same university in 2007-2009. In addition, they attended the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business in 2008, completing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) program with a focus on Corporate Financial Strategy.
