John Hamilton is an experienced software engineer with a robust background in developing and migrating software solutions. Currently serving as a Principal Software Engineer at Zscaler, John previously held a similar role at Vectra AI, where John led the migration of an on-premises product to a SaaS offering on AWS, mentoring teams and implementing solutions with Python and Terraform. At Zenoss, John contributed to building a scalable temporal document database using Go microservices in Kubernetes and was involved in legacy software maintenance across several languages. Earlier in John’s career at Knowledge Based Systems Inc., John was a Principal Investigator on various R&D projects, leading teams and developing software solutions while also playing key roles in the development of information models and APIs. John holds a Master's degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Texas A&M University.
