Mark Goldwater has over 35 years of work experience. Mark started their career as a Software Engineer at henco in 1980 and later worked as a Project Manager at Lincoln and Co from 1985 to 1990. From 1990 to 1995, they served as a Manager for OEM Products and later as a Principal Engineer at bitstream, where they contributed to the development of TrueDoc technology.
In 1999, Mark joined Oak Technology as a Principal Engineer, where they worked until 2003. During this time, they also worked at xionics as a Principal Engineer, leading special projects based on the IPS product line and coordinating cross-functional teams.
From 2003 to 2006, Mark worked at Zoran as the Mgr, PostScript/PDF Development, where they led a team of engineers and implemented architectural revisions to reduce development costs. Mark also served as the Director of IPS Technology at Zoran, leading strategic direction and research for the IPS product line.
In 2007, Mark became a Technical representative to the standards body Ecma TC46 (XPS) and served as Chair of the PrintTicket working group until 2011.
Most recently, Mark worked at CSR Technology from 2013 to 2015 as the Director of New Technology. Mark improved product development methodology, identified and developed new technologies and markets, and managed prototype development for display-oriented technologies. Mark was also instrumental in promoting products and evangelizing new technologies to major electronics manufacturers.
In 2015, Mark joined Qualcomm as a Principal Engineer/Manager. Further details regarding their role at Qualcomm are not provided.
Mark Goldwater attended Cornell University from 1973 to 1974, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in architecture. After completing their studies at Cornell, they went on to attend the University of New Hampshire from 1976 to 1979. During this period, they focused on structural engineering and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in that field.
