Carl Chatfield is a Senior Software Engineer at Zoox since October 2022, specializing in building 3D maps from data collected by autonomous vehicles. Previously, Carl was the Founder and CEO of Blue Atlas Robotics from September 2018 to January 2022, where underwater robots were developed. Carl also co-founded ALICE Technologies Inc. and served as the first software engineer there from August 2015 to October 2017. Prior software engineering roles include positions at Transcriptic, Posse, and an internship at Microsoft, following an earlier internship at Coca-Cola Amatil. Carl holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science from UNSW, earned between 2008 and 2012.
