Tyler Walter is a Senior Scientist at Zoetis Inc. since October 2021, with prior experience as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Van Andel Institute where research focused on integral membrane proteins related to cardiac conduction and various diseases. A Graduate Assistant at Michigan State University from 2013 to 2019, Tyler studied MIO-dependent aminomutases and worked on optimizing enzyme processes for industrial applications. Earlier roles include general labor and cashier/accountant at Baldwin Lumber Co., and an Undergraduate Research Assistant position at Western Michigan University, where trace metal concentrations in drinking water were analyzed. Tyler holds a Ph.D. in Bioorganic Chemistry from Michigan State University and a Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry from Western Michigan University.
