Reyes Murrieta is a Principal Scientist and Bioinformatician at Zoetis since July 2020. Prior to this role, Reyes served as a Ph.D. Candidate at Colorado State University from August 2014 to July 2020, focusing on characterizing temperature impacts on arbovirus population diversity and developing a bioinformatic pipeline for RNA-virus data analysis. Reyes also contributed as a Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant during the time at Colorado State University, supporting educational efforts in Microbial Genetics. Earlier experience includes working as a Research Technician at the University of Arizona on a USDA-funded project regarding antiviral agents and as an Undergraduate Student Researcher. Reyes holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Computational Biology and Infectious Disease from Colorado State University and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Arizona.
