Shannon Andrus

Dr. Shannon Andrus earned her BA in English Literature from Georgetown University, graduating with honors. While there she was a teaching assistant for both English and biology courses and worked as a peer editor in the student writing center. She taught high school English for four years while also tu-toring high school and college students for the SAT, GRE, and LSAT exams. She earned her master’s degree in liberal studies in the Great Books Program at St. John’s College. She went on to earn her doctorate in education at the University of Pennsylvania. While at Penn she taught courses in qualitative research and also worked as a research and writing coach for doctoral students. In addition to speaking and training on writing and digital communication, Dr. Andrus continues to do educational research. Her book, “Teaching Girls,” was published in October 2017.
