Gopal Nataraj is a seasoned biomedical engineer with extensive experience in imaging technologies and deep learning applied to magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Currently serving as a Staff Scientist at Ziteo Medical, Gopal invented a technique for smooth sampling patterns in radial imaging, with a patent pending, and has contributed to the development of silent MRI. Gopal previously held the position of Assistant Research Engineer at the University of California, Berkeley, where responsibilities included overseeing lab operations, collaborating on clinical workflows, and mentoring students. Earlier experience as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center involved the development of a deep learning framework for fast image reconstruction from MRI data. Gopal's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan and a B.S. from Cornell University, covering dual majors in Electrical Engineering and Applied Physics.
