Skye V. has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. They began their career as an Intern in Genetics and Molecular Technique at ARUP Laboratories in 2018. They then joined the Stanford Student Space Initiative in 2018 and held multiple roles, including Spaceshot Recovery Lead, IREC Propulsion Ground System Colead, IREC Avionics Colead, and IREC Recovery Colead. In 2019, Skye V. interned at Astra in Launch Operations. They further expanded their experience as a Hardware Engineering Intern at Culture Biosciences in 2020. Skye V. also worked as an EE 108 Course Assistant at Stanford University from 2020 to 2021. In 2021, they joined SpaceX as a Starship Propulsion Systems Associate Engineer and ABL Space Systems as a GNC Intern. Skye V.'s most recent role is a Research Assistant at Stanford University starting in 2021. They are currently working as a GNC Engineer at Zipline starting in 2022.

Skye V.'s education history begins with earning a High School Diploma in College Prep from Ashwaubenon High School in 2017. After that, Skye attended St. Norbert College from 2016 to 2017, but did not obtain a degree during this time. Skye then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University from 2017 to 2021. Finally, Skye went on to complete a Master's degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Stanford University from 2020 to 2022.
