John Schellpfeffer is a seasoned professional in real estate capital markets with extensive experience spanning several decades. Currently serving as the Head of Credit for Real Estate Capital Markets at Zions Capital Markets since June 2022, John previously held the position of Senior Credit Officer and Head of the Commercial Real Estate Underwriting Division at Wells Fargo from 2009 to June 2022, where John oversaw a team that underwrote and closed over $7 billion in loans. Prior to Wells Fargo, John was Managing Director at Wachovia Securities, leading the national underwriting team for the US CMBS platform and facilitating the closing of over $30 billion in transactions. John's earlier experience includes founding Austin Realty Advisors, LLC and working as a Loan Representative at GE Commercial Real Estate. John holds a BS in Finance from Fairfield University and additional education from Southern Methodist University.
