Rachel Kong is an experienced engineering professional specializing in mechanical engineering, currently pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Science at The University of British Columbia. Rachel has held various internships, including an engineering intern position at BC Ferries, where contributions included supporting Engineering Change Requests and creating 3D models in SolidWorks. At Zinc8 Energy Solutions, Rachel enhanced quality assurance processes through automation and identified manufacturing issues with effective solutions. Previous experience at Moment Energy involved leading the design of energy storage systems and utilizing DFMA and FEA methodologies. Additionally, involvement with UBC Sailbot and UBC Concrete Toboggan provided opportunities to work on design and analysis of mechanical components. An upcoming exchange program at the Technical University of Denmark further enriches Rachel's academic experience.
