Buqian Zheng has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field. They started their career at Chengdu Zhuozhuo Technology Co., Ltd. in 2016 as an iOS Engineer, where they collaborated with PMs and backend engineers to develop iOS applications and integrate RESTful APIs. In 2018, Buqian joined Autonomic as a Software Engineer, where they designed and developed a high-performance data streams processing platform and troubleshooted issues in development and production environments. They worked at Autonomic until 2020. From 2020 to 2023, Buqian worked at Google as a Software Engineer. They then moved to Zilliz in 2023, also as a Software Engineer.

Buqian Zheng has a Master's degree in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University, which was obtained from 2017 to 2018. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Southwest Jiaotong University, completing their studies from 2011 to 2015. In addition, Buqian Zheng has obtained several certifications including "Advanced Software Construction in Java" from edX in February 2017, "CS1156x: Learning From Data (Machine Learning)" from edX in December 2016, and "Machine Learning" from Coursera Course Certificates in June 2016.
