Atle Christiansen has a diverse range of work experience spanning several companies and industries. Atle is currently the Co-founder and Chief Product Officer at Zerolytics, a position they have held since October 2022. Prior to this, Atle served as the Chairman of the Board at Manta AS since June 2011.
From December 2018 to September 2022, Atle was the Chairman of the Board at CICERO Shades of Green, an organization focused on sustainability. Before that, they worked as an Advisor for Climate & Energy at Startuplab from August 2021 to August 2022.
Atle also has extensive experience in the financial sector. Atle was the CEO & Co-founder at Harvest Funds AS, an independent investment manager, from January 2012 to March 2021. Earlier in their career, Atle co-founded Point Carbon in March 2000 and held various roles, including Co-founder, Director of Business Development, and Director of EU ETS until July 2011. Atle also worked at Thomson Reuters as the Director of Business Development for Point Carbon from June 2010 to June 2011.
Before entering the private sector, Atle worked as a Senior Research Fellow at the Fridtjof Nansen Institute from December 1997 to September 2003. Overall, Atle Christiansen has a wealth of experience in leadership, sustainability, finance, and research.
Atle Christiansen pursued their education at various prestigious institutions. Starting in 1989, they attended the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Chemical Engineering. Atle continued their studies at NTNU and completed a PhD in Chemical Engineering between 1994 and 1997. During this time, Christiansen also spent a year (1993-1994) at Imperial College London for their Master's thesis in Chemical Engineering. Additionally, from 1996 to 1998, they engaged in a subsidiary subject, specifically Philosophy, at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).
