Sharmila Devi has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. In 2012, they worked as a Telemarketing Agent at A-Asign-Corp-Sdn-Bhd, where they delivered sales scripts and met specific sales targets. Sharmila then interned as a PR Intern at Impact Communications in 2017. Sharmila continued to gain experience in public relations as a Jr PR Executive at Centriq PR from 2018 to 2019. Sharmila then joined Blu Inc Media as an Integrated Marketing Comms Executive from April 2019 to January 2020. In 2020, they worked as a Social Media & Events Program Executive at byACME Sdn Bhd, followed by a role as a Social Media & Content Executive at Trifecta Collective from August to November 2020.
Sharmila's experience in social media and influencer marketing began in February 2021 at Green Park Content, where they initially served as a Community Manager (Influencer Marketing), continuously scouting new influencers and building relationships. Sharmila later became a Lead Community Manager (Influencer + Social), supervising a team, managing projects, and overseeing influencer seeding, among other responsibilities.
In 2023, Sharmila joined Open Door Policy as a volunteer Mentor, assisting marginalized communities, particularly refugees, in accessing remote work opportunities. Furthermore, they joined Maker Lab as a Community Manager @ Prime Video (MY) in April 2023.
