Melissa Zapp is a Development Engineer at Zelestra since May 2024, previously serving as a Student Energy Fellow at Student Energy from March to October 2024. Before this, Melissa held the role of Electrical Engineer II at TRC Companies, Inc. from November 2020 to April 2024, providing engineering support in electrical facilities design and maintenance, including Uninterruptible Power Supply systems. Earlier experience includes working as an Electrical Power Launch Engineer at SpaceX, an Assistant Electrical Engineer at Burns & McDonnell, an Electrical Engineering Intern at Black & Veatch, and an Electrical Engineering Intern at Clark Public Utilities. Melissa earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Washington State University Vancouver.
