Sebastian M. is a data scientist currently engaged in a capstone project at Blue Goji since September 2024. Prior roles include web scraper at Blue Sky Travel Search and backend developer and DevOps admin for Queues at UC San Diego, where Sebastian contributed to the launch of a student support website and improved server performance using Flask and Docker. As a computer science tutor for UC San Diego Extended Studies, Sebastian was selected to lead the inaugural Python class, teaching over 200 high school students. Additionally, experience as an instructional assistant included supporting over 400 students in computer science topics through personalized tutoring and lab assignments. An internship at the San Diego Supercomputer Center involved backend development for an educational game, while prior work as a mathematics tutor included preparation for college entrance exams. Sebastian holds a Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from UC Berkeley and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from UC San Diego.
