Bill Geist began their work experience in 1987 as the Executive Director of the Kankakee County Convention & Visitors Bureau. Bill then went on to serve as the President of the Greater Madison Convention & Visitors Bureau from 1990 to 1995. In 1995, they became the Chief Instigator at Zeitgeist Consulting, where they stayed until the company changed its name to DMOproz in 2016. At DMOproz, they continued to serve as the Chief Instigator. Additionally, in 1996, they took on the role of Executive Director at the Wisconsin Association of CVBs until 2002. Finally, in 2019, Geist became the host of the DMOU...the Podcast. Throughout their career, Geist has focused on destination marketing and the tourism industry.
Bill Geist attended Kenyon College from 1972 to 1976, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Political Science. Later, from 1993 to 1995, they went on to complete an MBA from the Wisconsin School of Business with a focus on Business.
