Rob spent 13 years at the Lockheed Martin (formerly General Dynamics) Flight Simulation Laboratory, followed by eight years in the business sector designing object-oriented application architectures and implementing them with Objective-C, C++, and Java. He then returned to the engineering world, where he enjoys looking for ways to bring seemingly incompatible technologies together to solve problems in the real-time simulation problem domain.
He is known to be easily distracted by anything related to computer graphics, and enjoys working in computer-based simulation and visualization because his primary academic and technical areas of interest are all represented there. Rob received a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace and Ocean Engineering from Virginia Tech in 1981.
