Luca Varesi has a diverse work experience across various pharmaceutical companies. Their most recent role is as the Head of Global Pharma Quality at Zambon, a position they have held since September 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Manager QA Operation & Qualified Person at Thermo Fisher Scientific from May 2022 to September 2023. From December 2017 to May 2022, they served as the Plant QA Director at Avara Pharmaceutical Services. Before that, they held multiple roles at AstraZeneca, including QA Director - Global External Sourcing from January 2012 to November 2017, Supplier QA Manager from January 2009 to December 2011, and QA GMP Compliance from August 1996 to January 2009. Luca started their career at Chiesi Farmaceutici as Quality Assurance - R&D from January 1993 to July 1996, and prior to that, they worked as a Biochemist at Pierrel Spa from January 1990 to December 1992.

Luca Varesi completed their degree in Pharmacy at Università degli Studi di Milano from 1984 to 1989.
