Ilya Sharonov is an accomplished Engineering Manager currently leading a team responsible for payment card processing at Zalando. Previously, as Director of Engineering at R-Style Softlab, Ilya supervised a department of over 120 engineers, enhancing the hiring process to onboard more than 30 engineers in a short period. At OZON.ru, Ilya managed cross-functional engineering teams focusing on analytical tools for merchants, establishing a productivity metrics system. Prior experience at Luxoft involved hiring and leading multiple teams and designing frontend architecture. Early in the career, Ilya held various roles in engineering management, tech leadership, and software development, implementing CI/CD practices across multiple projects. Ilya holds a Master’s Degree in Information Systems Architecture from Moscow Technical University of Communications and Informatics and a Master’s Degree in Public Relations from Tambov State Technical University.
