David Wu

Head Of Hardware at Zadar Labs

David Wu has a diverse range of experience in hardware and software development for robotics and autonomous vehicles. David currently works at Zadar Labs as the Hardware Lead, where they are involved in developing next-generation mmWave radars. Prior to this, they worked at Lyft as a Hardware Engineer in their Level 5 Autonomous Vehicle Division, where they were responsible for designing and integrating safety-critical driver interfaces and evaluating and tuning automotive imaging radars. David also gained experience at Intuitive Surgical as a Platform Software Intern, where they developed embedded software and performed hardware debug for a power management board. Additionally, they worked at JPL (NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory) as a Research Fellow and Academic Part-Time, where they handled electrical design and firmware development for automated chemical analysis instruments. David started their career as a Student Research Assistant at the University of Houston, where they developed a 3D printed soft leg pressure sensor and designed a low latency wireless triggering system for a robotic exoskeleton.

David Wu earned their Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Caltech, where they studied from 2014 to 2018.
