Fred Kooistra has extensive work experience in various finance and managerial roles. Fred is currently the Chief Financial Officer at YWCA West Central Michigan. Prior to this, they were actively searching for their next finance position. From 2020 to 2023, they served as the Director of Finance and Administration at Compass College of Film and Media. Before that, they worked as an Accounting Supervisor at Health Net of West Michigan from 2018 to 2020. Fred has also held the positions of Accounting Manager at Robert Allen Home & Garden, Realtor at Five Star Real Estate, and Individual Income Tax Preparer at Patrick M. Patton, CPA. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Manager of Procurement at Choice One Communications, Inc and as a Purchasing Manager at US Xchange. Fred started their career as a Controller at Kooistra Woodworks, Inc.

Fred Kooistra obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a focus on Financial Management from Trinity Christian College, from 1984 to 1988.
