Julie-Anne Selvey began their work experience in 2006 as the Director of Intellectual Property & Corp. Governance at Warner Music Group. Julie-Anne later joined IAC Applications, a division of IAC / InterActive Corp., where they served as the Senior Director of Business and Legal Affairs from 2008 to 2013. From 2014 to 2017, they worked as the Vice President of Special Projects at the same company. Following this, Julie-Anne Selvey joined IEEE in 2020 as a Contributor to the IEEE AI Ethics Working Group on Algorithmic Bias Considerations. In 2018, they became the Chief Consultant of Legal Operations at Gryphon Services. Most recently, in 2022, they assumed the role of Director of Legal Operations at Yuga Labs.

Julie-Anne Selvey has obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications - Journalism and Public Relations with high honors from the University of Central Oklahoma. Julie-Anne also holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Law and a Master of Intellectual Property Law degree from the Franklin Pierce Law Center. In addition, they are a Cornell Certified Diversity and Inclusion Professional (CCDP), having completed the relevant program at Cornell University.
