Dennis started their career in 2015 as a Researcher and Summer Intern at Ericsson, where they focused on IP and transport research for 5G. Dennis contributed to the design, implementation, testing, and documentation of an orchestrator for optical transport networks.

In 2016, Dennis had several roles at Nasdaq. Dennis worked as a Part-time Worker, where they helped create a DevOps team and developed automation programs and scripts for production systems. Dennis also served as a Summer Intern, where they worked on big data analysis and visualization, writing Python scripts to extract system data and using Splunk to analyze market and trading logs. In another Summer Intern role at Nasdaq, Dennis was responsible for planning, designing, and implementing software for centralizing and storing latency data for customers.

From 2017 to 2018, Dennis worked at Nordea as a Master Thesis Student in Cryptography. Dennis'sresearch focused on secure multi-party computation protocols, certificateless cryptography, and secret sharing. Dennis proposed and implemented a protocol for securing extraction of sensitive configuration data, using certificateless cryptography to avoid traditional PKI.

In 2018, Dennis returned to Nasdaq as a Software Developer. Dennis developed Java and C++ applications for the Core in the Nasdaq Financial Framework and assisted the InfoSec department with Static Application Security Testing.

In 2020, Dennis worked as an Independent Researcher in Cryptography, conducting research in the field.

Most recently, Dennis joined Yubico in 2019 as a Software Engineer. In this role, they led the development of open-source desktop tools and libraries, focusing on fast integration and configuration of the YubiKey with applications and services. Dennis Fokin completed their education with a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Computer Science from the KTH Royal Institute of Technology. Dennis pursued their master's degree from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, they also obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computer Science from the same institute, studying from 2013 to 2016. Additionally, Dennis pursued a field of study in Russian Studies at Stockholm University in the year 2014 to 2015, although it is unclear if they obtained a specific degree in the field.
