Neil Wardrop

Neil Wardrop has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Neil started their career at the BBC as a Graphic Designer, where they worked on innovative digital and interactive TV projects, including the interactive TV pilot for "Walking with Beasts" which won a Bafta award. Neil then joined Razorfish as a Digital & TV Designer before moving on to amassmedia as a Senior Designer, where they worked on digital, interactive, and broadcast branding projects for clients such as Viasat, Channel 4, Comverse, and FD Jeux. Neil also worked as a Senior Design Consultant on a freelance basis before joining Game On - Littlewoods as a Senior Interactive Designer.

In 2005, Neil joined UPC Broadband as a Senior Interactive Designer and later joined Vodafone as a User Experience Design Manager from 2008 to 2010. Neil then worked at Channel 4 as a User Experience Strategist, where they led the UX design team and user research, developed the Channel 4 digital design framework, and managed third-party design and research suppliers.

Following their tenure at Channel 4, Neil joined The Walt Disney Company and held the positions of Senior UX Strategist and Senior Manager UX & Design EMEA. In these roles, they led the UX & Design team in the EMEA region, overseeing the main Disney.xx web presence and a range of apps. Neil was responsible for a variety of businesses and use cases.

Most recently, Neil joined YouView TV Limited as the Head of Product Design in 2020.

Neil Wardrop attended Bramhall High School from 1984 to 1991. Following high school, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree with first-class honors in Graphic Design from the University of Lincoln, graduating in 1995. In 1995-1996, Wardrop pursued a Master of Arts degree in Communication Design at the University of the Arts London. Later, from 2005 to 2007, they completed a Diploma in Management at Birkbeck, University of London.
