Iain Grant has a diverse work experience in the IT industry spanning over 20 years. Iain started their career as a PC Refurbishment Technician at Cybercycle Networks Limited in 1999. After that, they worked as a Test Bench Operative at Two Way TV, where they tested interactive games and services on various platforms. In 2008, they joined Strategy & Technology Limited (S&T) as a Test & Support Engineer and later took on the role of Support and Test Engineer. At S&T, they were responsible for testing interactive TV software and managing the test environment. In 2015, they joined Metaswitch Networks as a System Tester, where they worked as part of a close-knit team to ensure the performance and reliability of complex software products for large Telecoms Carriers. Currently, in 2020, Iain is working as a Test Engineer at YouView TV Limited.

Iain Grant obtained a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy/English Literature from London Metropolitan University, where they studied from 1994 to 1997. In 1999, they pursued further education at Lambeth College and completed a City & Guilds (Level 1) degree in Computers and Computing, Digital and Analogue Electronics, which lasted until 2000.

In 2011, they attended ADRS Ltd. for PAT Testing Training and StayAhead Training for Linux Shell Programming, although no degrees were specified for these training programs.
