Colleen Madlala is currently a General Administration and Human Resources Intern at Nkangala District Municipality, where responsibilities include providing administrative support in recruitment, labor relations, skills development, and serving as Executive Secretary to the Municipal Manager Relief. Colleen has been involved with Youth For Understanding since July 2017, serving as an alumni, volunteer, and personal support person, organizing impactful events and orientations for students and host families. Prior experience includes a role as a Student Instructor Facilitator at North-West University, facilitating a Public Administration module, and a research assistant position at the University of Cape Town on a democracy research project. Colleen has also completed an internship at Raiffeisen Switzerland. Academic qualifications include a Postgraduate Diploma in Management from North-West University and an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences specializing in Politics from the University of Cape Town, along with a degree in Public Governance and a BA in Social Sciences from North-West University.
