Jonelle Simunich is a professional with extensive experience in urban planning, sustainability, and foresight initiatives. As Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer at [y]our 2040 since January 2020, Jonelle drives action towards regenerative futures and manages a diverse community through annual gatherings. Simunich serves as an EFI Associate Fellow at The University of Edinburgh and as an Advisory Council Member for Design + Cities at Design Museum Everywhere. Previous roles include advising at UN Climate Change and leading regenerative futures initiatives at Arup, where Jonelle cultivated capacity building and managed global foresight projects. With a strong academic background, including a Master's in Urban Planning from Hunter College and additional studies at Harvard University, Jonelle is also committed to systems leadership and design through ongoing education.
