Afsin Hossain is an aspiring electrical engineer currently serving as an Electrical Engineering Intern at Bloom Energy, focusing on electrical design and supply chain management, with research experience in microgrid systems and exposure to product development. In addition to this role, Afsin is a member of the 2023-2024 Clean Energy Cohort with Young Professionals in Energy NYC and an intern at the CUNY Building Performance Lab, supporting building operators through data analysis and energy-saving calculations. Afsin holds the position of Associate Director of Events Coordination at Women In Science CCNY, organizing programs and events, and has been involved with DRUM, advocating for social justice. Prior experience includes an internship at Breakthrough Energy focusing on U.S. policy and advocacy and participation in the CCNY Climate Policy Fellowship, which enhanced skills in climate-related public policy. Educationally, Afsin is pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from The City College of New York.
