Samer Hassan currently serves as the Storytelling and Engagement Manager at Young Invincibles, having been promoted from a Policy and Advocacy Fellow role. In this position, Samer successfully nominated community leaders to a negotiated rulemaking committee with the Department of Education. Previously, Samer demonstrated strong leadership skills by interviewing and hiring a team of 12 community advocates and developing an onboarding protocol while addressing institutional inequalities through research and testimonies. Samer's experience also includes counseling adult learners at Community Impact at Columbia University, overseeing office operations at Servants of Mary, serving as Student Government President at City Colleges of Chicago-Harold Washington College, and working as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Kindred Healthcare. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Public Policy from the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago.
