Heather 'Byrd' Roberts is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in education, arts, and organizational leadership. Currently serving as an Advisor at Innovation 80 and the Founder of Byrd's World, LLC, which empowers professional women of color to share their stories, Roberts has held various leadership roles at Young Chicago Authors since 2014, including Director of Education. Previous positions include planning diversity programs at Cornell College and facilitating cultural enrichment activities at Youth Organizations Umbrella, Inc. and Yollocalli Arts Reach. With advanced degrees in Organizational Leadership and a Teaching Artist Certificate in Spoken Word Pedagogy, Roberts is dedicated to fostering inclusion and empowerment through storytelling and education.
