Prior to that, they worked as a Social Media Marketing Manager at Zoop. Lisa also has experience as a Social Media Manager at Virgin Active Australia, where they managed the brand's organic social media presence and developed social media strategies. Lisa also worked as a Digital & Social Media Marketing Executive at The Star Entertainment Group, where they developed comprehensive content strategies and managed social media accounts across multiple platforms. Earlier in their career, Lisa worked as a Marketing Executive at The Star Entertainment Group and as a VIP Concierge Services at The Star Sydney, where they collaborated with sales teams and provided personalized support to customers.

Lisa Ma began their education journey in 2010 at Macquarie University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Medical Sciences. Lisa specialized in Biomedical Sciences and biology during their time there, completing their degree in 2014. Following this, in 2016, Lisa enrolled in Charles Sturt University and pursued a Graduate certificate in Marketing.
