Alyssa DeFazio, MPH, has a robust background in public health, mental health, and wellness initiatives, with experience spanning various roles since 2013. Currently serving as a Membership Sales Associate at the YMCA of Reading and Berks County and a Facilitator at PennCares Support Services, Alyssa specializes in developing and presenting evidence-based nutrition curricula. Previous positions include Extension Educator at Penn State University and Mental Health Case Manager for the County of York, where resource coordination and education on mental health topics were key responsibilities. Alyssa's extensive experience encompasses addiction prevention, youth advocacy, and community outreach, with a solid academic foundation consisting of a Master's degree in Public Health from West Chester University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor’s degree in Community Health/Health Education from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania.
