Kimmo Virtanen currently holds the position of President & CEO at Yliopiston Apteekki since October 2018 and serves as a Board Member at Suomalaisen työn liitto since May 2022. Prior to these roles, Kimmo Virtanen was associated with Oriola Corporation from June 2006 to October 2018, where responsibilities included Executive Vice President of Pharmaceutical Wholesale and Services, CEO of Oriola Finland, Sweden, and the Baltic region, Interim President & CEO, as well as CFO and Executive Vice President. Previous experience includes serving as Chief Financial Officer at Componenta from August 2003 to May 2006, Finance Director at Danisco Sweeteners from October 1999 to August 2003, and Finance Director/Financial Controller at Cultor from January 1995 to September 1999. Kimmo Virtanen obtained a Master's Degree in Economics from the Turku School of Economics at the University of Turku (1989-1993) and completed additional education at IMD in 2017.
