Melissa Bishop is currently an advisor at YL Ventures. Melissa has over twenty years of experience in the field of security and risk management.

Bishop began their career at Deloitte & Touche LLP in 1999, where they worked in the Enterprise Risk Services department for four years. In 2003, they transferred to Synopsys as a senior analyst. The following year, they returned to Deloitte & Touche, this time in the Audit & Enterprise Risk Services department, where they worked for six years, eventually becoming a senior manager.

In 2010, Bishop left Deloitte & Touche to join Autodesk as their director of information security, risk, and controls program management. Melissa remained with the company for eight years before moving to Uber in January 2018 to take on the role of deputy CISO and head of security assurance. In October 2021, they left Uber to become an advisor at YL Ventures.

Melissa Bishop has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
