Milka Horozova has a diverse range of work experience. Milka is currently a Data Scientist at Yieldify, a Google Ventures startup now acquired by Epsilon. In this role, Milka leads the research and implementation of innovative features to improve measurement models and traffic allocation. Milka has developed a new attribution model for campaign results based on the average time it takes for a buyer to make a purchase.
Previously, Milka worked at Google in multiple roles. From 2019 to 2021, they served as a Computational Linguist and Program Manager, analyzing and implementing technical solutions to protect advertisers, publishers, and users from undesirable ad placements. Milka also managed the Quality Evaluator program, overseeing a team of approximately 20 raters that provided high-quality human labels to train and evaluate ML models.
As a Strategist in Trust & Safety at Google from 2018 to 2019, Milka analyzed large amounts of log data to identify abnormal ad traffic patterns and prevent abuse at scale. Milka collaborated with engineering and product management teams on internal tool improvements, operational workflow enhancements, and filter development. Additionally, Milka volunteered as a Local Doodle Manager for Bulgaria, contributing to the translation, approval, and idea suggestions for new doodles in the Bulgarian market.
Before joining Google, Milka worked as an Analyst in Trust & Safety from 2016 to 2018. Milka also gained teaching experience as a Teaching Assistant at Queen Mary University of London in 2015.
Milka's early work experience includes an internship as a Support Analyst at ITRS, where they provided technical assistance and on-site support to customers in London and New York. Milka specialized in supporting the Open Access API and helped customers configure, debug, and develop API clients according to their specific requirements.
Milka Horozova obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Queen Mary University of London, where they studied from 2012 to 2016. In addition to their degree, Milka has completed several additional certifications. In 2013, they obtained a certificate in Creative Programming for Digital Media & Mobile Apps from Coursera. In 2020, they obtained several certifications, including "Structuring Machine Learning Projects" and "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter Tuning, Regularization and Optimization" from Coursera, "Neural Networks and Deep Learning" from Coursera, "Product Management: Building a Product Roadmap" from Project Management Institute, and "Product Management: Building a Product Strategy" from Project Management Institute. Most recently, in 2020, they obtained a certificate for "Advance Your Skills as a User Experience Researcher" from LinkedIn Learning.
