Vernon Berry has a diverse work experience in the robotics and automation industry. Vernon began their career in 1981 as a Field Service Technician at Cincinnati Milacron, where they worked until 1990. From 1990 to 2001, Vernon served as a Technical Support Specialist at ABB Robotics, ABB, and ABB Flexible Automation. In 2002, they joined Yaskawa America, Inc. Motoman Robotics Division, initially as a Service Application Technician until 2006, when they transitioned into the role of Technical Support Specialist. Additionally, they worked as a Programmer (Contractor) at Banner Welder Inc. in 2002. Overall, Vernon has a wealth of experience in technical support, programming, and service in the robotics industry.

Vernon Berry attended Greenwood High School in Greenwood, SC but did not earn a degree. After high school, they went on to study at Georgia Institute of Technology from 1978 to 1981, though no degree or field of study was specified. Following their time at Georgia Tech, Berry enrolled at Piedmont Technical College where they obtained an Associate of Science degree in Electronic Engineering Technology between 1981 and 1983.
