Charles Laforge has over 20 years of work experience in the robotics industry. Charles joined Yaskawa Motoman in 1998 as a Field Service Technician, where they provided customer service and sales support. Charles then worked their way up to Robotics - Service Application Technician, coordinating and supervising major robotic installations and projects, and providing technical training and mentoring. After that, they served as a Robotics - Application Technician, performing customer site visits, generating technical proposals, and assisting in obtaining new business. In 2008, they became a Robotics - Senior Application Technician, responsible for project management, system integration, installation, and start-up on various robotic automation projects. From 2010 to 2013, they served as the Robotics - Supervisor Service Operation, leading a service team, addressing complaints, and mentoring personnel. Charles then became the Robotics - Manager Of Customer Satisfaction, managing the Canadian customer service department, facilitating direct services to customers, and spearheading business initiatives. In 2015, they joined GE Power & Water as a Wind Site Manager. Currently, Charles Laforge is working at Yaskawa Motoman as the Robotics - Regional Technical Manager and Robotics - Senior Channel Manager since 2016 and 2019, respectively.
Charles Laforge attended Canadore College from 1995 to 1997, where they pursued an Honours degree in Robotics with a specialization in Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technician. Following this, from 1997 to 1998, they continued their education at Canadore College and obtained an Honours degree in Computer Technology, specializing in Process Control Technologist, with a focus on Robotics and Automation.
