Meheret Tena

Mentor, YALI RLC EA Mentorship Program-volunteer at YALI Regional Leadership Center East Africa

Meheret Tena is an accomplished professional in the fields of nutrition, public health, and humanitarian aid, with extensive experience across various organizations. Currently serving as the Deputy Chief of Party for the USAID/LEGO Foundation Childhood Development Activity at Save the Children International, Meheret also contributes as a mentor for the YALI RLC EA Mentorship Program. Previous roles include Senior Nutrition Coordination Specialist for the SUN Movement and Senior Regional Program Manager for the USAID/Growth Through Nutrition initiative at Save the Children. Meheret's volunteer efforts include coordinating charitable activities supporting vulnerable children and providing technical support during the COVID-19 pandemic. Academic qualifications include an MBA from the University of East London and advanced degrees in Humanitarian Aid, International Cooperation, and Public Health.
