Lawrence Hoar is a highly experienced mechanical engineer, currently serving as Principal Mechanical Engineer at XYZ Reality since August 2019, and previously held the role of Lead Mechanical Engineer. At DAQRI from June 2016 to September 2019, Lawrence worked as Principal Opto-Mechanical Engineer and Senior Opto-Mechanical Engineer, focusing on developing prototypes involving advanced optical display technologies. Prior experience at BAE Systems spanned from September 2009 to June 2016, where Lawrence progressed from Mechanical Design Engineer to Lead Application Engineer, managing multidisciplinary teams, interfacing with clients, and designing military display systems. Earlier, Lawrence gained expertise as an Industrial Placement Student at Airbus from June 2007 to July 2008 and holds a BEng in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Surrey, completed in 2009.
