Eva Burress has had a diverse range of work experiences throughout their career. Eva started off as a consultant at Structured Information Systems in 1988, where they played a crucial role in implementing one of the first cellular roaming systems. Eva then worked as a consultant at XID LTD for 18 years, handling various duties such as programming, analysis and design, problem solving, and system management. In 2009, Eva became an independent consultant and was hired by a large aerospace customer in San Diego as an Architect representing HP Computers, Inc. During their time there, they worked on a 6-month contract, which was eventually extended for 3 more years. Since 2012, Eva has been working at XYPRO as a Senior Developer, where they have been involved in all aspects of product design and development, including being the sole developer of a major new product for the NonStop system.

Eva Burress attended Tandem Computers, Inc. from 1980 to 1985, where they pursued various studies. Following that, from 1984 to 1990, they studied at Brookhaven Community College, earning an Associates degree in business computer programming.
