Sharon Duckworth has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Sharon started their career as Head of Publishing Development at Thomson Scientific & Professional (formerly Chapman & Hall) in 1986. Sharon later worked as a Business Consultant at Nelson Croom in 2000.
In 2000, they also joined Rubus as a Client Partner, where they stayed until 2004. During this time, they co-founded and directed The Publishing Practice from 2004 to 2006.
In 2007, Sharon became the Head of Information Management at Opsera, a company providing open source software and services. Sharon held this position until 2009, when they transitioned to become a Customer Account Manager at Xyleme, Inc.
Since 2009, Sharon has been an Independent Publishing Technology Consultant, utilizing their expertise and skills in the industry.
Sharon Duckworth pursued their higher education at the University of Oxford from 1980 to 1984. During this period, they completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree with a major in Biochemistry. After several years, they enrolled at Cass Business School from 1998 to 1999, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, specializing in the Management of Technology.
