Brian Tinsley has a diverse work experience in the software engineering field. Brian is currently working as a Principal Software Engineer at Xtera since February 2022. Prior to that, they worked at APCON as a Senior Software Engineer from November 2016 to February 2022. Brian also held the position of Principal Software Engineer at Xtera Communications from March 2007 to October 2016. Before joining Xtera Communications, Brian worked at L-3 Communications Integrated Systems as a Software Manager II and Principal Software Engineer from June 2005 to March 2007 and from March 2004 to June 2005 respectively. Prior to that, they worked at Xtera Communications as a Senior Software Engineer from February 2001 to March 2004, at Alcatel as a Senior Software Engineer from October 1998 to February 2001, at DSC Communications as a Senior Software Engineer from January 1996 to October 1998, at Kodak as a Software Engineer from 1994 to 1996, and at Electrospace Systems, Inc. as a Software Engineer from 1987 to 1991.

Brian Tinsley obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from Texas A&M University between 1984 and 1987.
