Jay Shah is a Security Engineer at Xtel Communications, Inc. since January 2023, specializing in executing vulnerability assessments and conducting security audits to enhance system security. Previously, as an Applied Security Research Assistant at Rochester Institute of Technology from August 2020 to January 2023, Jay deployed internal services to improve the lab's virtual infrastructure and analyzed security data to respond to threats. In the role of Penetration Tester at Eaton in 2021, Jay focused on IOT and web penetration testing. Jay holds a Bachelor's degree in Computing Security from Rochester Institute of Technology and an Associate's degree in Computer Science from City Tech, CUNY. Additional experience includes serving as a Teaching Assistant at Rochester Institute of Technology and City Tech, CUNY, providing academic support in cybersecurity and mathematics.
