Alexey Skidanov has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and Linux kernel development. Alexey currently works at Xsight Labs LTD as a Senior Software Engineer and Linux Kernel Engineer. Prior to that, they worked at Apple as a Senior SW Engineer and Kernel Engineer, where they developed a Kernel framework for Block Storage driver development and a user space NVMe driver.

Before their time at Apple, Alexey held positions at Intel Corporation as a SW Tech Lead and Linux Kernel Engineer, contributing to driver architecture and development. Alexey also worked at SanDisk as a Sr Staff Software Engineer, AMD as an MTS Software Development Engineer, IBM as a Senior SW Engineer for the development of a cluster interconnect protocol, and Orbotech as a SW Tech Lead, SW Team Leader, and SW Engineer, where they led the development of complex technological tasks and infrastructure projects.

Early in their career, Alexey worked at ProLaser as a SW Engineer. Alexey has a solid background in Linux Kernel Engineering and has contributed to various software projects throughout their career.

Alexey Skidanov attended Odessa National Polytechnic University from 1991 to 1996, where they earned a B.Sc in Computer Science. Alexey then enrolled in Tel Aviv University from 2000 to 2005 to pursue an M.Sc in Computer Science, although they did not complete the degree.
